Hawthorne began his career with Franklin County Schools in 2005 as a Social Studies teacher at Cedar Creek Middle. Prior to her current position, Baldwin was an Elementary School Principal with Granville County Schools and an Associate Principal with Orange County Schools. In that role, she successfully collaborated with all stakeholders to ensure district and programmatic goals were met. She has extensive experience in developing curriculum based on state standards and data analysis. Baldwin served as Director of Elementary Education, Federal Programs and Before and After School for Granville County Schools.
